Normal, CHS, LBA modes
Windows 95 SR2, Windows 98, Windows 98SE -
the system only sees a disk with 10781MB - you can find the solution in knowledgebase
by Microsoft and you can download the update (the real size of the
disk is 76317MB).
and the format command display the size of the disk larger than 64GB
incorrectly. Displayed result is the real size minus 64GB. Unfortunately, this is no deflection, but fdisk really allows you to
divide just the part of the disk that is displayed. The solution is
installation of the support contained in the article called Q263044
(263044USA8.EXE). Under Windows ME and Windows 2000/XP you will not
encounter this problem.
The same problem with displaying appears
when formatting. The real and correct size is displayed after the
formatting is done (but the displaying of wrong size does not influence
the formatting itself).
